Q: How do I Access Brightspace?

A: You can access Brightspace at the following link: https://mycourses.umassglobal.edu/

 

Q: When accessing Brightspace I receive the following error: "There was a problem processing your authentication".

A: If you are a standard academic year (SAY) student, you will receive access to Brightspace by the end of the day on the Friday before your classes begin on Monday. If after that Friday you still can't access Brightspace, please contact the Service Desk at 949-341-9801 or servicedesk@umassglobal.edu.

If you are a MyPath (CBE) student who previously had access but are now receiving this message, please contact the MyPath Academic Coach Team at 855-554-3325 or myacademiccoach@umassglobal.edu for assistance.

 

Q: Classes I'm enrolled in are not in my course section.

A: If you are a standard academic year (SAY) student, Classes are added to Brightspace the Friday before classes start on Monday. If after that Friday your classes are still not in Brightspace, please contact the Service Desk at 949-341-9801 or servicedesk@umassglobal.edu.

Q: How do I resubmit an assignment?

A; If you are a standard academic year (SAY) student and an assignment is not set up for multiple attempts, your previous submission must be removed before you can resubmit. Please contact your instructor to request removal of the attempt as they are the only ones authorized to do so. Please note that the Service Desk is unable to remove assignment attempts.

Q: I have general questions on how to use and navigate Brightspace.

A: Please visit the Brightspace Access, Training & Support page for additional resources, including guides, step-by-step instructions, and training videos.

 

Q: How do I order books for my class?

A: Access the UMass Global book store. Begin by selecting the appropriate term. Next, enter the subject, course, and section information. You may add multiple entries if you are ordering for more than one class. Once completed, click Find Materials for Course(s) to view the required textbooks. Please note that the bookstore is a third-party website. Your UMass Global email address and password will not work to login.
