Global Secure Access Information - VPN Replacement

 

The Global Secure Access client will be automatically pushed to your computer.  When this occurs, the client should enable itself but may not automatically disconnect you from VPN. While most do not experience any issues during this transition, on rare occasions a computer experiences difficulties a restart has corrected the problems.

 

Verifying Installation and Enablement

The icon for the Global Secure Access client will be visible in your system tray, typically in the bottom right corner of your screen next to the time and date.  You may need to expand the system tray by clicking the ^ icon.  The GSA client will be blue with a checkmark in a green circle when enabled:

About every week, you will need to sign into the Global Secure Access App.

Enabling the GSA Client if Disabled

If the GSA Client is disabled, it can be enabled it by right clicking the icon in the system tray and click the “Enable” option.

 

Reporting Issues

If you find you are having trouble connecting to a resource, please verify the GSA client is enabled and you are not connected to VPN. 

If this is not the issue, please collect the following information and submit a ticket with the subject: GSA Issue

  • The system you are having trouble accessing.
  • The system name if known, such as the URL from the browser (https://inb.id.umassglobal.edu) or connection string.
  • Software being used.
  • A brief description of the issue with screenshots if available.
