Gallery recording in Zoom is used to capture a grid layout of all participants' videos simultaneously, providing a complete view of everyone in the meeting, unlike the default speaker-only recording. This is ideal for lectures where seeing all participants is important for context or later review.
To record the gallery view in Zoom, you’ll need to update your account settings.
First, sign in to the Zoom portal at https://zoom.us/signin#/login
On the login screen, make sure you select the SSO button.

When prompted for the domain, enter umassglobal.

Sign in using your UMass Global email address and password.
Once logged in, select Settings from the left column.

Select Recording from the top menu bar.

Ensure the boxes for Record gallery view with shared screen and Record active speaker, gallery view, and shared screen separately are checked exactly as listed.
Be sure to click Save to apply any changes you’ve made.

When the recording is finished, multiple files will be generated.
